NABI (Korean, 30s) returns to Durban, South Africa for her divorce. As she moves through the city, it comes to life with her memories of ex-husband, THANDO (South African, 30s). She is a photographer that takes photos as a way to preserve fleeting memories. He is a literature professor who writes to rewrite the history that has been written out of textbooks.

The feelings Nabi has suppressed resurface when she has to interact with his family, meets a handsome bartender, and spends time with Thando again. The past and the present start to blend together like a dream until it builds to the reality of the day of her divorce hearing.
